Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of John Kuntz, dated January 15, 1891. John first enlisted on May 4, 1864 as a Private in Company J 133rd Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers and was discharged on September 5, 1864. John re-enlisted on March 15, 1865 as a Private in the 156th Regiment of Indiana and was discharged on May 17, 1865. Johns application was recommended by James Colescott. Examining Committee members were J.A. Anderson, I. Corban, and V.G. Dickhout. Applicant Elected and Mustered January 15, 1891. No. on Des. Book: 613.
