Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Thaddeus J. Martin, dated February 4, 1897. Thaddeus first enlisted on May 17, 1864 as a Private in Company F 133rd Regiment of the Indiana Volunteer Infantry and was discharged on September 6, 1864. Thaddeus re-enlisted on April 6, 1865 as a Private in Company D 156th Regiment of the Indiana Volunteer Infantry and was discharged on August 4, 1865 (?). Thaddeus application was recommended by H.J. Kintz. Examining Committee members were J.H. Mullen, Carl. Krietenstein, and Oscar Hammond. Applicant Elected, Mustered, Number on Des. Book, Adjutant, and Post Commander information omitted.
