GAR application David Buchanan

Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of David Buchanan, dated July 16, 1891. David first enlisted on August 15, 1861 as a Private in Company F 102nd Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, was transferred on November 10, 1862 to serve in the regular Army and mustered out of service in 1864. David re-enlisted in 1864 as a Private in Company D 7th Regiment of the U.S. Veteran Volunteers and was discharged in 1866. Davids application was recommended by Oscar L. Simco. Examining Committee members were Robert Hines, F. M. McCoy, and S. W. Thomas. Applicant Elected and Mustered July 16, 1891. No. on Des. Book: 625. Miller, Adjutant; Post Commander information omitted.
