This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Amos S. Bolton, dated May 7, 1903. Amos first enlisted on April 20, 1861 as a Private in Company G 5th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Infantry and was discharged on July 24, 1861. Amos re-enlisted on August 23, 1861 as a Private in Company F 4th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry and was discharged on December 31, 1863. Amos also had a Veteran enlistment on January 1, 1864 in Company F 4th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry and was discharged as a Corporal on July 1, 1865. Amoss application was recommended by Lawrence Burget. Examining Committee members were C. Krietenstein, George Miller, and J. S. Neely. Applicant Elected May 21, 1903 and Mustered June 4, 1903.
