Description: A photograph of the men of Company G, 14th Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment. The 14th Indiana served in many major battles of the Civil War including; Antietam, Fredericksburg, Spottsylvania and Chancellorsville. Many men were recruited in Vigo County and mustered at Camp Vigo in Terre Haute, Indiana. The soldiers in the picture are wearing a variety of coats and duty uniforms. Two of the soldiers have officers stripes and epaulets. 1861.
