"A much-wounded soldier" newspaper article by Dorothy J. Clark. Tells the story of Lt. Jesse S. Harrold of Terre Haute, Indiana. He had six brothers that served along with himself in the Civil War fighting for the Union Army. All the brothers made it home unwounded except Lt. Jesse Harrold. He received six wounds in combat before being honorably discharged. The family joke was that that he was wounded once for each of his brothers. 1861. |
