Sullivan high School 1953 Minstrel Show, Sullivan, Indiana

Description: This photograph shows a newspaper clipping that reads, Probably another place where a lot of us are too close to the forest to see the trees is in our Sullivan schools which are manned by outstanding faculty personnel...from the bottom to the top. Latest example is the annual high school minstrel here, which we seriously doubt, has ever been surpassed on the non-professional stage. The students themselves put it over. They have a lot of talent. But they were able to put it over in the exceptional manner that they did only because of their love and admiration for their director-Harry Jarrett. They wouldnt dream of giving anything less than their best for him...And the net result was seen by all who attended the fifth annual High School Minstrel Monday and Tuesday evenings.
