This is an oral history interview with Mary Woods conducted on February 23, 2024 at the Parke County Public Library. This recording shares the early life, schooling, and life in the Tangier, Indiana area of Mary Woods and her family. Mary tells of her life as the daughter of a Purdue Extension Agent and the granddaughter of a farmer in Tangier. She attended Indiana State Teachers College and was a student athlete. Her adult life is described as she became a wife and mother and what Tangier looked like during those years. |
