This is a color photograph of the Benjamin Phillips house in Section 5 of Wabash Township in Parke County, Indiana. It stands near the Phillips Covered Bridge over Rocky Run Creek in the Arabia neighborhood. The house, built c 1860, is a two story wooden frame structure with a two story porch with a gable roof. Outbuildings can be seen to the side. Benjamin Phillips (1829-1916) was the son of William and Harriet Robinson Phillips. He was married twice, first to Jane Morgan in 1852 and then to Julia Dunlap in 1865. He attended the Arabia United Brethen Church. In 1911, he moved to Montezuma. He is buried in Arabia Cemetery.
