Knox County probate record for Robert Shreve, 1847

Description:	A folder containing probate records for Robert B. Shreve (Shreeve) is housed in the Probate Records section, Box 44, at the Knox County (IN) Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. A hand-writtten bond dated November 8, 1847 names Willis W. Hitt as administrator. Also included are an administrator’s account, bills and receipts to the estate and a published administrator’s notice and notice of administrator’s sale (Vincennes Gazette, November 19, 1847), affidavits and inventory with accompanying bill of sale. One document appears to be a bill to the estate from William H. Javins for expenses in taking minor heirs “from Vincennes to Charleston.” In the document the names are Frances Ann Shreve, Elizah, Edgar, Robt. B., Rhoda, Jane, Virginia and Albert. The file also contains numerous receipts and bills not pictured.
