A folder containing probate records for Thomas Carrico is housed in the Probate Records section, Box 44, at the Knox County (IN) Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. A bond dated October 29, 1847 names Mary Ann Skomp (Johnson) and Stephen Stalcup as administratrix and administrator. Skomp’s name appears in latter documents as does Mary Ann Johnson. In addition to a summons and an affidavit, this file includes an estate inventory and accompanying bill of sale and a list of notes collected. Also included are administrator’s accounts. Also in the file but not pictured are numerous receipts and promissory notes. |
