Mrs. Reed was formerly MissAnna Cole, 06. Mr. Reed is a professor ofphilosophy in the University of Wyoming.Edna Barnard spent the week-end, Feb. 5-8,with home folks.C. E. Melton has quit school to accept a highschool position in East Chicago.Miss Jennie McMullin, 05, was married lastSeptember to Mr. Glen Turner at Madison,Wis. Truman Gray, 02, is teaching in the Department of Education in the University ofTexas, which is at Austin.Victor Miller, 05, C. C. 12, who has beendoing graduate work in English for the lasttwo years in Chicago University, will returnto Normal in the spring to take up his oldposition as an assistant in the English department.Doyne Kunce, C. C. 14, is now supplying inthe science department of Wiley High School.E. H. Drake, 94, has been superintendent ofthe Elkhart schools since 1906, and has broughtthe schools up to a high efficiency.Chester Ziachiel, 08, who was noted for- hissinging ability while in Normal and has taughta few years at Anderson, has finished the lawcourse at Chicago University and is nowpracticing in Indianapolis.Miss Emun Barnes visited her parents atRoachdale, Saturday and Sunday, January 23and 24.Joseph Fagan, 97, is serving his ninth yearas superintendent of schools at Bedford. Hehas a number of I. S. N. graduates on histeaching force.Miss Cecil Kelso has been out of school forseveral days on account of illness.The Geography department has recently received a very interesting set of specimens,showing the development of animal life fromthe one celled animals of the very earliesttimes to the development of the human being.A committee of the State Teachers Association has prepared a pension bill, which isnow before the State Legislature. The facultyof the Indiana State Normal School is included in the provisions of the bill. B. F.Moore, 84, superintendent of the Muncieschools and Thomas W. Records, 97, principleof the Garfield High School, Terre Haute, aremembers of the committee.Miss Naomi Coffey was called home February 2, on account of the illness of her father.Lenora Pound, 87, who has been teachingin Terre Haute this winter, died January 25,at the Union Hospital after a weeks illness.
