A. who did not go home for the Thanksgiving holidays tried their culinary skill by getting their own Thanksgiving dinner.The table Avas tastefully decorated with candles and chrysanthemums.At 12:30 twenty-one students and businessgirls sat down to a bountiful repast consistingof turkey, dressing, escalloped corn, potatoes,cranberries, fruit salad, mince pie, devils foodcake and fudge.After partaking of the repast they concludedthat the new study of Domestic Science in ourschools is bringing forth fruit already.There Avere no serious accidents during thework but several minor cuts and burns werereceived by the cooks.Ira S. Crask is superintendent of the Mellott,Indiana, schools. This is his sixth year at thisplace.Professor Wisely, Professor Clippinger andMiss Anna Cox attended a meeting of the National Council of Teachers of English held inChicago, Nov. 27-28.Prof. Charles M. Curry read a paper at thismeeting entitled Literature for Recreation.Miss Mary Moran, Miss Marjorie Cuppy,Professor Wisely, and Professor Clippingerwent to Indianapolis December 4, to attend ameeting of the Indiana College Teachers ofEnglish.Bin Watanake from Japan held an art exhibition and sale of Avater color sketches atthe Normal, Dec. 4.On the evening of Dec. 4, Mr. Dome addressed the practice class on Characterizationof the girls of the Normal Training School.Prof. A. F. Westphal, Ralph Schenck andHenry Knauth were well entertained by JamesRoyer on Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Runt took Coach, Heine andMidge out for a rabbit hunt in AvhichMidgeproved to be the giant. (Numbers stricken outby the censor.)
