Description:	46THE NORMAL ADVANCEALPHA.* I v HERE were forty members of Alpha■*- present at the formal initiation, whichwas held Saturday, Nov. 2, at the home ofMiss Mary Hill, on North Fifth street.The Alpha colors w7ere carried out in thehouse decorations by the use of yellow chrysanthemums.The new members, who wrere initiated are:Loraine Thompson, Emelia Zobel, MargaretGillum, Geneva Hursh, Dorothy Bowser,Hazel Etzold, Anne OConnor, Virginia Foster, Regine Schultz, Mildred Allen, Anna MaeThomasson, Edith Miller, Edna Parrott andNola Noland.A social meeting was held Friday, Nov. 15,at the home of Lucy Leibing, on North Center street. The usual good times were sharedby the active members and many of theAlumni.This was the first of the three gatherings,which will take place this term. The otherswill come, one just before Thanksgiving, andthe other just preceding Christmas. The active members are divided into three groups.Each meeting has as its hostesses one of thesegroups. The entertainments are carefullyplanned by the hostesses and much pleasureis anticipated.Miss Mildred Allen, one of the chaptersnew members, has accepted a position in Seattle, Wash., and left Monday, Nov. 11, to takeup her new duties.ATHLETA.The Athleta Sorority held their initiationFriday evening, Nov. 8, at the home of MissEsther Ray, of North Sixth street. After theinitiation a picnic lunch was served and thenall attended the Orpheum.Those initiated were the Misses BeulaSmith, Sarah Daniels, Anne De Hority, EdithTrotter, Esther Price and Mary Clifford.The members present were the Misses Alberta Harstine, Elizabeth Kadel, Janet Skene,Helen Price, Helen McKeever, Marie Rucker,Mamie Asberger and Esther Ray.EPSILON DELTA.Miss Ethel Parker on Saturday evening,Oct. 26, was a pleasing hostess to the members
