A., March 5, theAlpha Sorority had a Greek Candy Kitchen.The Alpha girls gave a matinee party toPriscilla, March 6, in honor of Mrs. CorneliaFaris, who played the role of Resignation.After the matinee, Misses Sue Jacques, EthelScudder, and Helen Wright entertained theAlphas with a beautifully appointed dinner inthe tea-room of the new Y. W. C. A. building.The last party of the term will be givenMarch the 20th, at the home of Hazel Armstrong, in North Center. Miss Armstrong willbe assisted by Misses Carabelle Greiner, Marian Sammis and Marie Downs.a train letter for Miss Guffigan. Light refreshments were serA^ed.ATHLETA.The Athletas gave the last of a series ofafternoon teas in the Association Rooms, February 19. The decorations in the receptionrooms were the national colors, and collegepennants. The tea room was beautifully decorated with hearts and Athleta colors. TheMisses Cox and Jeanne Guffigan presided atthe tea table. The Section had as their gueststhe members of the Faculty and their wives,the Forum, College Students, and studentswhose last names began between the letters Iand Q.On February 15 the Misses Vera Smith, Ceciland Grace Vinson were initiated into the Section at the home of Jeanne Guffigan. Afterthe stunts, a luncheon was served at theRose Pharmacy.A party was given at the Y. W. C. A. House,Friday evening, February 26, in honor ofFrances Guffigan, who returned to her home, inMuncie, February 28. Each one present wroteBETA.The Misses Lula Hufty and Bertha Wilsonentertained the members of the Beta Sectionat the C. Y. W., Saturday afternoon, February13. Misses Gallion and Kekathorne on this occasion passed through the ordeal of initiation.Dainty refreshments were served.On Saturday evening, February 20, theMisses Holly, Christy and McCoun acted ashostesses in the entertainment of the followingguests: Misses Erickson, Lula Hufty, HannahWolfe, Margaret Yunker, Nellie Wolfe, IvaGish, Bertha Wilson and Mary Hart. Afterthe business had been transacted the time wasdevoted to games and music. Elegant refreshments were served. The table decorations werevery artistic and brought the adopted colors ofthe Betas into striking effect. Mr. and Mrs.Wisely, at whose home the guests were assembled, contributed largely to the enjoyment ofthe evening.CANDIDA.The Candida Chapter was delightfully entertained by the Misses Cochran, Groff, andSleeth at 121 North Seventh street, on theevening before St. Valentine Day. The roomwas tastefully decorated with numerous hearts,and Cupid with his bow and arrows held aprominent place. After indulging in variousamusements all enjoyed a bounteous spread andeach voted the hostesses charming entertainers. The Misses Lula Hufty and Lottie Raels-back were the guests of the Section.On the evening of February 22, at her homein Mulberry street, Miss Grace Lowe gave -aWashington Birthdaj^ party. Music was thechief feature of the evening. Refreshmentsconsisting of cake and coffee were served.A fudge party was given in honor of thebirthdays of the Misses Bogemann and Cochran, Saturday evening, February 27, with Miss |
