Sixth Street, withMiss Iva Feree as hostess. After the initiatorystunts had been gracefully performed, the remainder of the evening was spent in fudge-making, corn-popping and story-telling.On the evening of February 22 the Sectionwas entertained at a Martha Washingtonparty with Miss Crossgraves and Mrs. Leppertas hostesses. The Father of His Countryformed the subject for an interesting poeticand artistic contest, and the literary ability ofeach girl was tested by an original story toldabout a revolutionary souvenir she had broughtwith her.A delicious lunch of sandwiches, pickles, coffee and cake was served.KAPPA.On Saturday afternoon, February 20, inhonor of Miss Presnell and Miss Bullington,Miss Ethel Dixon entertained the Chapter.Several guessing contests were engaged in. Thegirls enjoyed the afternoon very much.Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brumfiel entertainedthe Kappas and Ciceronians at their residencein North Sixth Street. Much amusement wasafforded by a silhouette guessing contest andthe guests felt that they had received a verypractical lesson in perception and observation. The Ciceronians, who presided at thechafing dishes, demonstrated their ability atmaking fudge and popping corn, and theKappas showed their appreciation by liberallypartaking of the results. The guests were theMisses Presnell, Audrey Bullington, Stoy,Dixon, Newhouse, Houghton, Kelsey, AliceBullington, Grabbe, Johnson, Corning, Rieley,Sittason and Davis the Messrs. Stirwalt, Rowe,Benham, Cain, James, Schorling, Lanning,Schoeppel and Winkler. The Misses Fair andCole assisted the hostesses.The Kappa girls at the Association House—the Misses Rieley, Bullington, Settason, Johnson, Houghton, Story and Newhouse entertained the Chapter at dinner Sunday, February21st. In the afternoon, the girls took pictures.On March 1st, the birthday anniversaries ofMisses Ethel Dixon and Eva Davis were celebrated by a surprise spread at 664 Eagle street.The conspiracy was well formed, as neitherof the girls suspected the plot against them.The eats and especially the birthday cake wereenjoyed very much.LLAMARADA.The Llamaradas initiated four members—Louise Pickett, Marguerite Moody, Ruth Millerand Florence Carithers—at the home of MissAllen, in North Sixth Street. Miss Bertha Eb-bert was unable to be present, so that her initiation will be held over until the spring term.On March 2, the girls entertained Miss Erickson at Miss Coles home, 528 North Fifth, fromtwo until six, and enjoyed a helpful and interesting talk from her. Hot chocolate, wafersand salted almonds were served.MU ZETA.On Saturday afternoon, February 20, theMu Zetas were entertained by Miss EdnaSchmidt, at her home, 1430 Chestnut Street.After a short business session the girls enjoyedan inspiring talk by Miss Erickson, who was aguest of the afternoon. The Section has takenup a course in musical study, and the first program of the series was given at this meeting byMiss Minturn. After a short talk on the lifeand work of Grieg, Miss Minturn sang severalof his songs and Miss Way illustrated hisBridal March.
