Plans for the future were discussed and much inspiration and enthusiasmwas gained by the new members from the progressive, wide-awake Alumnae of the organization, who are now scattered far and widethroughout this and adjoining States, but, whonevertheless, find time once a year to join withtheir Sister Pi Zetas in a few days of pleasure.The chief social event of the reunion was adinner given at the Claypool in honor offriends of the Pi Zetas.The Pi Zetas gave their first social event ofthe year in the form of a sleighing partyThursday evening, January 14. Twenty-twoguests including the chaperones, Mr. Clippen-ger and Miss Swihart, enjoyed a sliding time.ZETA ZETA.The Zeta Zetas entertained friends with aChristmas party December 17. Various gameswere the amusements of the evening, the mostlaughable of which was the fishing-pond whereeveryone had good luck and caught a fish,large or small. Mr. Tormohlen was the bestHunter and therefore received the prize, aZeta pennant. Refreshments, appropriate tothe occasion were served. Those present werethe Misses Mabel Martin, Ora Raab, Anna Piepenbrink, Matilda Tormohlen, Hattie Stirwalt,Juanita McClain, Georgia Brewster, MaryRogers, Kelsey Allen, Voyle Davis, Messrs.Elmer Rowe, Adam Bowles, Fred Fiess, Tormohlen, Ray Jared, Charles Limpe, GuyWoody. Miss Mabel Lovett and Mrs. MaryMcClain acted as chaperones.ALETHENAI.The Alethenai Literary Society held its firstbusiness meeting of the winter term at theNormal Y. W. C. A. Building, Saturdaymorning, January 9. This being the time forthe election of officers and assignment of workfor the term, no program had been prepared.The following officers were elected: President, Miss Sue Jacques

Eleanor StoyThe Story of the Magic Flute Alice KelseyThe Society now has a membership of twentyyoung women. On account of this large number of members and the excellent line of workthat has been arranged, a great deal of interestis being aroused. The Society expects to become a more flourishing organization and toaccomplish more than it has previously.CICERONIAN.In closing its work for the fall term of 08the Ciceronians spent the evening of December17 informally at the home of Mr. Brunner inEast Main Street. A thoroughly .enjoyabletime was had by everyone. Among the guestswere the Misses Presnell, Dixon, Stubbs, Kellogg, Wright, Riley, Tichenor, Sittason, andMrs. Brunfiel.By virtue of an amendment to the constitution of the Society, passed during the summerterm of 08, by which any non-resident graduate member of the Ciceronian Debating Societymay become an associate member with the privilege of attending the regular meetings of theSociety, the following men, upon request, havebeen given associate membership: Messrs.Hitchcock, Hurst, McKeehan and Reeves.The members of the Society have been takingunbounded interest in their work and greatgood has been derived.
