Refreshments were served.Not the least enjoyable was a present of an immense basket of pop corn, kindly forwarded bythe Juniors. President Parsons was present andresponded briefly to an invitation to address theclass.The spring term greatly increased the enrollment of the organization. At the first meeting ofthe term, D. M. The organization has apromising outlook for the term and all hands arejoining to round out fittingly a .year that startingfull of promise, has so far borne nothing but thebest.THE CLASS OK 00 IN ATHLETICS.Perhaps at no time in the history of the I. S. N.has the Freshman class been so well represented inathletics as it has during this school year, andthe class of 06 will long be remembered, for theimportant part it played in all athletic events.We wish to call attention to our standing in football. Here we were represented by such men asCollins, Spindler, Zechiel, Griffith, McCammon,Metsker, Hawkins and Sanders and we know bythe mere mentioning of their names it will recallthe good work done on the gridiron by these men.In basket ball we had to be contented with thirdplace, but this does not by any means show ourability in this sport and, had all the games beenplayed as scheduled, we are certain our standingwould have been quite different. Our first gamewas with the Sophomores and we were defeated bya score of 8 to 14. Our next game was with theSeniors and after a hard fought battle, they defeated us by one point, the score being 12 to 13.In the third game the tide changed and it was inthis game we defeated the Juniors in the closescore of 7 to 4.The fourth and the last game of the season wasan exhibition game played on the same evening ofthe big I. IT. game when he again faced the Juniors.This was by far the best and most exciting gameof all and we again showed to the large crowdpresent that we were superior to the upper classmen, for when time was called the score stood 6to 8 in our favor.The class also was represented on the varsityteam by Zechiel and Bolinger, who played goodball during the entire season.Next was the indoor athletic meet and the menchosen from the Freshman class to take part in the
