This book is one of the Reading Circle books for the teachers of Indiana.Mr. Brunner, one of the most promisingyoung men of the Society, is attending DePauwUniversity this term. Mr. Elmer Rowe hasbeen chosen to fill the vacancy.As scheduled, Prof. Lardner will conduct theliterary part of the program for the meetingof January 28.FORUM.The Forum boys began the New Year withrenewed resolutions for a term of hard work.The meetings are growing in interest as thetime rolls on and every member is making adetermined effort to contribute all in his powerto make this the most successful year in thehistory of the Society. Debating is the principal feature of the work at the present.Mr. Thompson, a former member of theSociety, has returned to school and has takenup his work in the Forum.SENIOR.At the meeting of the Senior Class December11, the following program was rendered: .Piano Solo Annalee ShortridgeReading Mr. JenkinsViolin Solo—Miss Voyle Davis, with MissJeanne Guffigan as accompanist.Probably the most interesting part of theprogram was the reading given by Mr. Jenkins.The applause which greeted him was very profuse. Yielding to the insistent, demands formore, Mr. Jenkins related a few of his fascinating love experiences. According to Mr. Jenkins, when hearts are trump he always holds ablack hand. In his early days the burning ambition of his life was to find someone whom hecould love, but of late he has been looking forsome who would love him.After the program refreshments were served.Mr. Davis was chosen Treasurer to fill the vacancy made by the resignation of Mr. Porter.The first meeting of the winter term was heldJanuary 15. The officers for the term electedare: President, Mr. Cory Vice President, Mr.Crawford Fox Treasurer, Mr. Harry Davis Secretary, Miss Delia Manion Class Artist,Miss Annalee Shortridge Yell Master, Mr.Brunfiel.The next meeting will be held Friday evening, January 29. All Seniors are urged to attend the class meetings.JUNIOR.A most beautiful climax in the career of theJunior Class for the fall term was reached atits last meeting Friday evening, December 11.A most delightful program was rendered asfollows:Music Male QuartetteReading Mr. WinklerMusic Misses Guffigan and DavisReading Miss ThorpeJunior Jests Miss FairSolo Miss LambThe entire term has been one of success forthe Jimiors, and we highly commend the efforts of our worthy president, Mr. Webb, towhom we owe much for our success.The newly elected officers for this term are:President, Mr. Cain Vice President, Mrs.Brunfiel, Secretary, Miss Fair Treasurer, Mr.Winkler Editor, Miss Davis Athletic Captain, Mr. Smith. A Look-out Committee wasappointed consisting of Messrs.
