to look as if Normal will reach a higher place
in the basketball field than ever before.During this time Baseball Manager Hoffman
has been busy making out the schedule, and at
present it promises that we will have the best
and cleanest schedule of games that we have
had for years. The prospects for a successful baseball team
were never brighter. Nearly all of last years
team is going to return in the spring, and in
addition several former stars, among them be¬
ing Whistle of 1912, who reports that he is
bringing with him two splendid baseball men.The shadows of the mind are like those of
the body. In the morning of life they all lie
behind us
at noon we trample them under foot,
and in the evening they stretch long, broad and
deepening before us.—Longfellow.
