Treasurer,Sue Jaques.For the first good time of the term, theAlphas had an informal spread at the home ofCarabelle Greiner on the evening of Oct. 1.Everybody enjoyed the many good things. Animpromptu musical program was given. Theguests of the Chapter were the Misses RubyWeills, Frances Sammis, Mary Phillips, EthelScudder, Hazel Armstrong, Margaret Tomlin,Edna Reagan, Laura Shryer, Anne Price,Edith Hamilton and Sarah Swihart.Friday evening, October 2, the girls surprised Miss Bertha Curry with a kitchenshower at the home of Ethel Hughes. Jingleswere attached to some of the gifts and affordedmuch amusement as they were read.The Alphas entertained Friday afternoon,October 9, with a Lyric theater party. Afterwards a luncheon was served at The Rose.The guests were the Misses Mary Phillips,Hazel Armstrong, Ethel Scudder, FrancesSammis, Anne Price, Ruby Weills and Mrs.George Mortimer Faris.There are now fifteen Alphas in school. Thenew members are the Misses Mary Royce Phillips, Ethel Robbins Scudder, S. Francis Sammis, Hazel Armstrong, Anne Price, M. RubyWeills and KathrynMcBride. The girls willbe initiated October 23.Crooke welcomed the girls at 227 S. 13th St.,where new girls took the vow of Deltadom.DELTA.Misses Iva Ferree- and Ethelyn Gregory entertained the Deltas at the Association Houseon the evening of October 11. The girls whohave returned are the Misses Gregory, Heil,Crossgrave, Joslin, Ferree, and Crooke.On the evening of the 17th Miss MaudeKAPPA.A number of Kappas met in Vincennes, Ind.,the first week of September and spent severalvery enjoyable days together. The first socialaffair given in honor of the visitors was amoonlight launch party on the Wabash to oldFort Knox.The following evening Miss Flossie Keithentertained the members of the Section andtheir gentlemen friends, at six oclock dinner.A farewell picnic was given at the close ofthe week.Only three of the members, Ora Presnell,Alice Kelsey and Eva M. Davis, returned thisfall. The new members were initiated Oct. 17.The Kappa Section entertained Fridayevening, October 2, with a chafing dish partyat 664 Eagle Street, with the Misses OraPresnell and Eva M. Davis acting as hostesses.The following guests, who later becamepledged members, were present: Mary New-house, Alma Sittason, Chloe Hoten, LorenaReiley, Eleanor Stoy, Alice Bullington, EthelDixon, Minerva Kellog, Corrine Reilag,Norma Kellog, Blanch Trueblood and MildredButler.MU ZETA.The members of the Mu Zeta Section, withtheir friends, enjoyed a picnic at Forrest Park,July the eighteenth. About thirty guests werepresent. Mr. and Mrs. Bean were invited aschaperones, but on account of the illness ofMrs. Bean they were unable to attend. Mrs.Bean kindly remembered the Section with aMu Zeta cake. Miss Parr and Mr. Hoffachaperoned the party. After dancing, theevening was concluded with an auto ridehome.The Mu Zeta girls spent the afternoon ofAugust, the twenty-seventh, at Collett Park,and took their suppers.
