WerremeyerVocal Solo Bertha BoyerSOPHOMORES.The two meetings of the Sophomore class sincethe last issue of The Advance were the best ofthe year. At each of these meetings exceptionallygood programs were given.Not only in class meetings does the class showa good record, but in athletics the Sophomores leadthe other classes. The class has the spirit that alive class should have and that too, without theelement of rowdyism that is often prevalent in college classes.FRESHMAN CLASS.Since the last issue of The Advance the classhas held two meetings. At the first, which washeld on the evening of February 20, a very interesting program was given.The second meeting, which occurred on Fridayevening, March 6th, was by far the most enjoyableof the entire year. It had been previously arranged for a reception to follow the program. Accordingly after a program of^recitations and musichad been rendered, the rest of the evening wasspent in playing games, singing songs and other5social enjoyments. Refreshments consisting ofof bananas, ice cream and cake were served duringthe evening. President Parsons was present for ashort time and responded to the call for a speech.The next issue of The Advance will be the special number for the Freshmen and Sophomores.It is the intention of the classes to make this number especially attractive and worthy of the organizations.
