THE NORMAL ADVANCE185Miss Esther Arnold entertained the Kappa
Kappa section Saturday evening, April 4. The
rooms were artistically decorated in the sorority
colors, lavender and white, and this color
scheme was carried out in the delicious three-
course supper, which was served. The girls
spent the evening in games and contests. Those
present were: Theo Sauer, Gertrude Leonard,
Zelpha Burkett, Helene Casey, Marie Carter,
Patty McCullum, Anastacia Burke, Doyne
Koonce, Inez McClung, Helen Jones, Doris
Drake, Edna Glick, Sue Hess, Ethel Friez,
Geneva Smock, Marguerite Dunkin, Dot Ellis,
Gladys McClung, Loretta Kelly, Florence
Hurt, Myrtle Conklin, Eva Davis, Hazel Kief¬
ner, Katherine Walsh, Esther Arnold, Jamie
Delay, Marguerite Kisner and Susan Miller.On the evening of March 22 the Llamaradas
surprised Miss Eunice Asbury by giving a fare¬
well party in her honor. A 6 oclock dinner
was given at the Y. W. C. A., followed by a
theater party at the Grand, where every one
enjoyed herself immensely.Those of the party were: Misses Gertrude
Force, Leatha Houchin, Grace Golay, Edna
Davis, Audrey Baumgartner, Helen Trent,
Kathleen Nurnberger, Katharine Nantz, Addie
Harris, Grace Nantz, Mary Brosey, Edna Pey¬
ton and Eunice Asbury.Miss Asbury has completed her course and
is spending the spring at home. The Llama¬
radas regret losing one of their most loyal
members.The Llamaradas began the rush season
with a party given at 629 North Sixth street.
The Misses Helen Trent and Addie Harris
were hostesses. Various musical selections and
readings furnished the entertainment. Follow¬
ing the program, a delicious picnic luncheon
was served. The dining-room was decorated in
the colors green and yellow and huge bouquets
of yellow daffodils.The members present were the Misses Ger¬
trude Force, Addie Harris, Grace Golay, Kath¬
erine Nantz, Louise Coleman, Helen Trent,Hazel Force, Larel Pruitt, Grace Nantz, Au¬
drey Baumgartner and Edna Davis.The guests were the Misses McPheeters,
Chambers, Scatt, Tulley, Wood, DeVaney, De-
Weiss, Davis, Elliot and Brown.The Mu Zeta Sorority opened rush season
with a theater party March 26, followed by a
luncheon at Valentines. The guests were the
Misses Wade, McCafferty, Debs, Wood, Thomp¬
son and McCray.A delightful breakfast was served Thurs¬
day, April 2, at the city Y. W. C. A. tea
room. The decorations were pink and white,
the Mu Zeta colors. The room was lighted
with pink candles in crystal candelabra s.
Dainty place cards were used. The guests were
the Misses Olive Wood, Marguerite Debs, Hor-
tense Wade, Ermel McCafferty, Myrtle Thomp¬
son and Emma Hoberg. The members present
were the Misses Winniger, White, St. Clair,
Smith, Rippetoe, Provines, Newton, Mygrant,
Horstmann, DeFrese, Bodenhafer, Arbogast
and Allen.Friday, April 3, the Mu Zetas enjoyed a
three-course dinner at the Hotel Tuller. The
favors were pink carnations. Pretty place
cards, painted by Miss Horstmann, were used.
After the dinner a pleasant evening was spent
at a social at the Central Presbyterian Church.
Charades, a bean race and other games were
played. The guests were the Misses Hoberg,
Thompson, Debs, Wade, McCafferty and Wood.
The members present were the Misses Allen,
DeFrese, Arbogast, Horstmann, Mygrant, New¬
ton, Provines, Rippetoe, Smith, St. Clair and
White.The Omega Sorority opened the spring
term with a large number of girls, most of
the members continuing their work from the
previous terms. Several of our girls did not
return, Misses Mona Halloran, Lillian Mac-
