ties, which are being given by the
Alpha Section of the Womans League was
given at the home of Miss Vivian Goodman on
South Center street Saturday evening, Febru¬
ary 21st. The hostesses were the Misses Lucile
Armstrong, Grace Reeves, Lucy Leibing and
Louise Cooper. Miss Helen Hopkins, of Brazil,
Ind., was an out-of-town guest.The active members of the Alpha Section en¬
tertained on Saturday evening, March 7th. At
the home of Miss Angelia Hubbard, in honor of
Miss Ruth Schloss, who will be married to Mr.
Leon Wertheimer of Ligonier, Ind., on Wednes¬
day evening, March 18th. The decorations of
pink and white were carried out in the two
course luncheon, which was served during the
evening.The last social event, of the Alpha Section,
for the term, will be given at the B. H. Morgan
home in Clinton, Ind., where Miss Sarah
Wright will entertain with a dinner.The Athleta Sorority gave their tenth annual
dance Saturday, February 14, at the Phoenix
Club. The hall was decorated with red hearts
and cotton, the latter representing snow. The
windows were banked with snow, and hung
with curtains of small snowballs. The lights
were hooded with red. In one corner was a lat¬
tice fence and arch, covered with snow. This
fence concealed the orchestra.Punch was served throughout the evening in
the ante-room. The programs were of white
linen, with the sorority pin embossed on the
cover, and tied with gold cards.During the grand march corsage bouquets
and boutonnieres of violets were given to the
guests. The music was furnished by the Scott-
Powers orchestra.The hostesses for the dancing party were:

ton. Prof, and Mrs. U. O. Cox were the chap¬
erons.Miss Anne DeHarity of Elwood, Ind., will
visit friends in Terre Haute during the latter
part of March.Miss Hazel Shaper and Miss Blanch Taylor
were hostesses at a valentine party for the
Epsilon Deltas at the home of Miss Taylor
Saturday afternoon, February 14. The house
was tastefully decorated in red, with hearts,
ribbons and cupids. A number of novel and
unique games were played until 3:30 oclock,
when a dainty luncheon was served. The place
cards were paper hearts, on each of which was
written the characteristics of the girl who was
