THE NORMAL ADVANCE.155rTVMiller, Treas.Mier, Prest.OFFICERS, SPRING TERM.Miss Moore, Secy. Stucky, Ath. Capt.Kelley, V. Prest.Classthe Sophomore class. Here we mastered the problem of the eternal threeness in the Psychologydepartment, moved forward in the stream of History, and kept Our eyes turned aloft in Algebrarecitations. All these things being past, it was with beamingcountenances and sprightly steps that we mountedthe old familiar stairways in the fall of 1902 andgreeted our returning classmates. We do not boast of any great deeds of valordone, or laurels of victory won by us during thisschool year but we do maintain that there wasnot a class in school this year, or any other year, that enjoyed more pleasant social life or workedin more harmonious relations than did the Juniorsof 1902-03. We are few in number, but eachindividual is a host in good fellowship and in theart of making those about him enjoy school life. The scarcity of men in the fall and winter termshandicapped our basket ball team and our athleticstanding in general. Yet we made a fair showingand what we lacked in masculine muscle, was madeup in feminine loveliness and loyalty. We feel safein saying tbat there has never been a Junior classwhose members have been more successful in theiracademic work. Quite a number of them will return and finish their course next year and the outlook for a strong class in 1904 is very promising.reen, Editor and Debater.Malone, Sergt. at Arms.Rogers, Orator.Davisson, Cartoonist. |
