Friday, November 28th, to attend the Purdue-
Indiana football game. On Friday night she
attended the Union dance and on Saturday
night the Senior dance, which were given in
the Students building. Miss Force was the
guest of Miss Anna Sweeney at the Delta Zeta
house during her visit in the university town.Miss Ruby St. John spent the Thanksgiving
vacation with her parents at Martinsville, Ind.Miss Lulea Fulmer spent the Thanksgiving
vacation with Miss Lena Chapman of Paris,
111.Miss Daisy Shields spent Thanksgiving day
at Champaign, 111., the guest of her brother,
and the remainder of the vacation with her
parents at Sullivan, Ind.Miss Marguerite Allen spent the Thanksgiv¬

Thanksgiving festivities was a wdnter picnic
at 653 Washington avenue, on Saturday7 even¬ing, November 29. At 6 oclock the hostesses,
the Misses White, Rippetoe, Bodenhafer and
Provines, served a delicious supper which was
eaten in true picnic style. Other features of the
evening were music and a marshmallow and ap¬
ple roast. The guests were Messrs. A. Mercker,
W. F. Mitchell of Greenville, 111., W. P. Freye-
burg of Kendallville, Ind., and R. W. Hynd¬
man.On the evening of November 15th, the ladies
of 526 North Sixth street, entertained with an
informal party in honor of Miss Zoe Boden¬
hafer of Middletown, Ind. After spending a
pleasant hour in the kitchen pulling taffy, the
company was ushered into the dining room
where refreshments were served.Following the refreshments several musical
numbers were rendered, artistic conversations
were enjoyed, and a general social hour, in
which all participated and of which all present
hold fond remembrances, marked the close of
the pleasant affairs of the evening. The
hostesses were the Misses Burkett, Bodenhafer,
Dunn, Glover, McKamey, Scott and Wilson.
The invited guests were Mrs. Maddex and the
Messrs. Maddex, Ringham, Stork, Wright, Dal-
ton, Shotwell and Hemmer.The Manning Club—for men—R, W. Hynd-
mann, purveyor, broke an old precedent Satur¬
day evening, November 22, by admitting their
girl friends into the fun. A wdener roast was
planned. Hyndman and Connor were sent
forth to spy out the promised land. The day
w7as balmy, and they forgot their task, and went
fishing. Returning late in the afternoon, they
prepared to surprise the bunch with a fish fry.
The fish were prepared and added to the store
of good things to be cooked by the camp-fire.
But as the party gathered, so did the storm, and
the latter broke first. By the indulgence of the
