After all the guests hadassembled, a delightful Alpha Newspaperedited by Helen Hopkins and Nola Noland wasread. The hostesses were Florence Fox, Margaret Gillum, Pauline Evans, Helen Hopkins,and Nola Noland. After the reading a delicious luncheon Avas served.Saturday evening, December the fifth, theAlphas met at the home of Ruth Colliver.ATHLETA.The members of the Athleta Sorority Avereentertained on Friday, Nov. 27, by Miss LenaFailing at her home on North 13 th St. Anenjoyable evening was spent in playing gamesand dancing, after which refreshments wereserved. Th^ out of town guests Avere MissHelen Dean of Shelbyville, guest of Miss Failing, and Miss Lucile Hoover of Chicago, guestof Miss Esther Price.Miss Annie DeHouty of Elwood was theguest of the Athleta Sorority during theThanksgiving vacation.EPSILON DELTA.The initiation of the Epsilon Deltas tookplace at the home of Blanche Taylor, on NorthCenter St., Dec. 20. After the initiation refreshments Avere served. Those taken into thesection were Bertha Harris and Edith An-dreAvs.LLAMARADA.On the evening of November 21, a delightful Thanksgiving party was given by theLlamaradas at the home of Miss Edna Peyton,1234 S. 4th St. Mr. Robinson won an amusing foot race and Miss Dorie and Mr. Brownan interesting story contest. After the contestsan appropriate luncheon Avas served.The guests were: Messrs. Rightsell, Offutt,Brown, Trotter, Robinson, Bell, Lockwood,Buckles, Kirtz, Swango, Patterson and Dome.Dr. and Mrs. Hyde were delightful in theircapacity as chaperones.The most important social event of this termoccurred Saturday, December 5, Avhen theLlamaradas and their friends enjoyed a banquet at the Hotel Deming. Five excellentcourses were served.Miss Kathryne Nantz acted as toastmistress.The folloAving toasts were given:Our Boys, by Miss Harriet Woolen.A Prophecy, by Miss Hazel Force.Advice to My Daughters, Mr. Wisely.Sparks from the Fireside, Mr. Rightsell.Novel place-cards and pink and white rosebuds as favors added to the attractiveness ofthe beautifully appointed table.Those present were the Misses Grace andKathryne Nantz, Grace Golay, Hazel Force,Edna Davis, Harriet Woolen, Edna Peyton,Louise Coleman, Irene Ferguson, DaisyShields, Dorothy Beck, Anna Yergens, DaisyPatterson, Leatha Houchins and Esther Soules,and the Messrs. Rightsell, LockAVOod, Trotter,BroAvn, Bell, Woolen, Robinson, Pitman, Kurtz,Tranbarger, Buckles, Offutt, Swango, Stahl,Mr. and Mrs. J. B.
