Mayrose.The following announcements have been re¬
ceived by members of the sections—Mrs. G. A.
Stevens announces the betrothal and approach¬
ing marriage of her daughter, Zillah Mary, to
Mr. Leo L. Newlin. The marriage will take
place December 31, 1913.at the present time are inactive, were present
and with the guests of the sorority, enjoyed a
delightful feed.The Kappa Kappa Section, on Thanksgiving
evening, gave a banquet in the private dining
room of the Filbeck Hotel. The room was
elaborately decorated in the section colors,
lavender and white. A French basket filled with
white rose buds and fern fronds adorned the
center of the table. From the basket lavender
and white streamers reached to the four corners
of the table. The place cards consisted of hand-
painted turkeys, attached to tiny lavender
baskets filled with mints. Covers were laid for
sixteen, several members having gone home to
spend the holiday. Those present were Mar¬
garet Ellis, Theo Saner, Gertrude Leonard,
Hazel Kiefner, Doris Drake, Helen Jones,
Gladys McClung, Geneva Smock, Marguerite
Kisner, Marguerite Dunkin, Loretta Kelly,
Pattie McCullam, Marie Carter, Edna Glick
and Florence Hurt.The members were entertained on Saturday
afternoon, Nov. 29th, by Miss Margaret Ellis.Saturday, November 22, the Llamaradas and
their guests enjoyed a matinee party. Those
present were Misses Mary Brosea, Elsie Higi,
Grace Golay, Ruth Adelsberger, Audrey Bum-
gartner, Louise Coleman, Crusell, Addie Har¬
ris, Helen Trent, Letha Houchin, Edna Peyton,
Kathryne Nantz, Gertrude McComb and Grace
Nantz.The usual business meeting was held Tues¬
day, November 25th.Tuesday, December 2, a spread was given at
421 North Center. All the city members whoOn November 22nd, the Mu Zeta Section was
royally entertained by the Misses Ruth Cost-
low, Edith Provines and Madeleine White.
The degrees of initiation were given to the
Misses Blan Smith and Bernice Bodenhafer.
At the completion of the initiation an elabo¬
rate picnic supper was served to which the
newly pledged members were especially able to
do justice.The Misses Arbogast, Allen and Smith spent
their Thanksgiving vacations at their respective
homes, and all report a most enjoyable and
happy time. The next regular Saturday7 afternoon party
will be held at the home of Miss Rippetoe, 519
Hancock street, the Misses Rippetoe, Newton
and Arbogast being the hostesses.Laugh, and the world laughs with you

Tlieta Sorority entertained guests at the homo
of Mrs. Arthur Clark, 629 North Sixth Street.
The home was artistically decorated with pen¬
nants and flowers. The girls, being at their
best, made each guest take on at once the spirit
of jollity.Many delightful games were_ enjoyed by all.
During the course of the evening, Mr. Logan
succeeded in making those about him say Yes
and No many times and guarded his own
tongue so well that he carried away a sack of
candy beans as a prize. Mr. Schockel is nowT
ready to sew on buttons for the bachelor mem¬
bers of the Faculty because he won a thimble
for sewing on five buttons in three minutes.
Surely he has had some experience. For mak¬
ing the best creation from chewing-gum for a
