Description: The photographer stood in the center of Circle Park and looked east toward East Market Street. Visible signs read Grand Zoological & Equestrian, Journal Steam Book & Job Printing House, Book Binding & Stereotyping, Real Estate, and T. A. Goodwins Insurance Office. This view was taken prior to April 1873 when the steeple of the Fourth Presbyterian Church at the southwest corner of East Market and Delaware Streets, seen in the distance to the right, was removed after the congregation sold the structure.The yellow stereoview mount is printed on the front: Published by Salter & Judd, Mezzotint Photographers / Indianapolis and Vicinity, No. [handwritten: Market St, East 15.] / 45 East Washington St., Indianapolis.
