Stereograph of Circle Park, Indianapolis, Indiana, circa 1872

Description: View looking northwest at buildings surrounding Circle Park, with a handwritten caption: Circle Street. Birds Eye View / 4. From the left is the Plymouth Congregational Church, which faces North Meridian Street. In the northeast quadrant is Christ Church, the William H. Morrison House, and the Bishops House (parsonage occupied by the rector of Christ Church). In the foreground are roofs of buildings in the southeast quadrant. The photograph was likely taken from the roof a three-story building at 32-34 East Washington Street (the Ingraham and Claflin studio was located in this building), or possibly the adjacent Fletchers Bank, a four-story structure located at 30 East Washington Street.[See also image ia-0555-0137 for a similar view.]
