Hall played stopperon the team, and proved to be a solid defensive force.game but the girls were out to prove that theycould play with any team if they played hard. The Unraveling:Halfway through the second half, the game wastied 0-O.This game was the game that woulddetermine whether the team moved on toRegional or lingered in the anguish of defeat.Thewhistle was blown and Center Grove made a fewquick passes to put the ball in the back of the netfor a 1-0 lead. Then, only minutes later, they scoredagain on an amazing shot that skimmed the bottomof the crossbar and rolled down the back of thenet. As the ball fell to the ground, so did the teamshopes of continuing their season. The Thoughts:How did you feel about your game against CenterGrove? Before the game we went into the lockerroom, and Chris played us a song that made usbelieve we were a team. He was talking aboutgoing out there and playing I 10 percent. It reallypumped us up, senior Sarah Greenberg said.We played them even nearly the entire game.We had a few good chances to score, but couldntfinish.
