Description:	Serves It UpTo reach elite eight in state tournamentThe teams final record onthe season was a strong 21-2record, with its two lossescoming against top-five teams.The team made it to the finaleight in the state tournament,and was ranked fourteenth inthe final regular season poll.I was very pleased with ourseason and how it ended. It wasnice to be ranked and have sucha strong team. It was a greatway to end my senior year,senior Emily Ellsworth said.During an away match atColumbus East, the girls founda poster in the boys wrestlinglocker room. On the poster therewas a quote that read TrainLike a Mad Man, and the girlsdecided to take it as a souvenir.We thought that it wouldbe fun to borrow the poster, sowe brought it home and put iton a sign at the roundabout.The slogan on the poster, TrainLike a Mad Man, became oneof our team jokes, seniorLeigh-Ann Fullerton said.Brett WhiteBrett WhiteAfter an easy 5-0 defeat ofBatesville in the first round ofSemistate, the team met up withthe top-ranked North CentralPanthers. The girls fought hard,but the team bowed out by ascore of 5-0.Playing against NorthCentral was a great experiencefor all of us. You always wantto go up against the best to seewhere you stand. We competedhard but were simplyovermatched, senior GretchenFisher said.handoutsJuniors Meredith Holmes andJenny Nolan split time at thenumber one and number twosingles positions throughout theyear. Holmes compiled a 20-3record at the two positions andNolan a 19-4 record.I think we had a greatadvantage over other teamsbecause of how strong we were atthe top two singles positions. Itdidnt matter who was at numberone. Meredith and I were alwaystough match-ups for ouropponents, Nolan said.Seniors Emily Ellsworthand Leigh-Ann Fullertontalk strategy between apoint against CenterGrove.
