Description:	VT-bailers, gymnasts roll alongVJl£^fe^jiP»i»e^^- ^ ^J^ i ^ V.1 \ i.HMa*Mrs. Edith Thrasher sponsored thegirls gymnastics team this year, andthe team was coached by Mrs. RosalieWendling.The gymnasts compete on threedifferent levels: beginning, intermediate, and optional. Since each level isdistinct, the score of a meet is actuallythree scores.The beginners compiled a 2-1 record with a second place in a six-waymeet and third place in an invitationaltourney at Cascades. The intermediates won a first place in a three-waymeet and a third place in a six-waymeet. The optional team was 1-2,with two second-place finishes inmeets involving three and six schools.Each gymnast competes in at leastone of four events: balance beam,uneven parallel bars, vaulting, andfloor exercise. An all-around gymnastcompetes in all four.This years captain was senior Laurie Jackson; and the B-woman awardwent to Kathy Saunders, also a senior.RIGHT PAGE. TOP: VARSITY GYMNASTICS TEAM.
