Description: MarchingPanthers0 •participateSouths Marching Panthers, under thedirection of Donald Traub, performed atfootball and basketball games and entertained students and parents at numerous concerts.Band members participated in the Persimmon Festival parade in Mitchell, aswell as the Indiana University Homecoming parade. They also performed for theFire Rally and Mothers Club and on thesquare for the Veterans Day observance.Highlights of 1977 was presentedthree times, a double convocation forstudents and an evening performancefor the parents.Selected members of the pep bandwent to the Basketball Hall of Fame tournament in Indianapolis.Junior John McNeely was selecteddrum major for the 77 season.The band sold fruitcakes to raisemoney to buy new uniforms.
