LOWER RIGHT: Linda Titus,student council representative, glances ata silent school bell which once signaledstampedes between classes.Student Council Probes Panther Problems ItWith action as their goal, the Student Council came through withmany projects to improve the school.President Robbie Carroll, with thesupervision of Mrs. Bea Johnson andMrs. Pat Kinser, conducted the meetings in a business like manner. Thecouncil worked with Mr. Jones onthe dress code and successfully terminated the bell system. This organization also alleviated the overcrowded lunch hour by taking a polland making arrangements to have itchanged.Also working to maintain communication with the students, the first 10minutes of each Friday morning weretaken to discuss the council minutesof the week and to offer suggestions.A possible student lounge and coffee machine were also discussed. Themembers were also responsible fordecorating a Christmas tree in thecafeteria and conducting a cannedfoods drive for underprivileged families in the Bloomington area.ISO
