Description: iMiii:iiiinitf-i—«««■»■The purpose of the International Relations Club was tocreate a better understanding of world problems and give itsmembers a better look at life in foreign countries. During atime in which the troubles of a country affect each one of us,it is important that we be able to understand the many countries of the world. This year the International Relations Clubhad one of the largest memberships in the clubs history. Thereason for such interest was the clubs activities. The seventymembers chose topics of national and international interestto discuss. There were two panel discussions on race relationsin our country and a number of speakers from foreign landswho told us about their countries. Many of the memberswrote, and are still writing, to high school pupils from foreignlands. They related to us some interesting facts about theirrespective countries. The officers were Kenneth Buckner, president; Leah Terrell, vice-president; and Nancy Thompson, secretary-treasurer.
