Description: Clarence Knapp facilitated a group focusing on compassion and communication. When I asked him whether itwas worth our time, he said “Whether or not it really helped,trying is a worthwhile cause by nearly any means.” He alsosaid, “if nothing else it started some wheels turning inpeople’s minds.”I agree, and as a facilitator I think if we just sit aroundand do nothing, what good will that do us? If we at least trythen what is there to lose?-Carrie Farnsworth-Lyndsey Gomez participated in Carrie Farnsworth’sgroup on respect and participation. “People here need toknow what’s going on and help out with it—that is what weare all about,” Lyndsey replied after being asked if weshould have more of these group meetings in the future. Ifacilitated a group on patience and unity. A number of thenew students came to my group and they surprised me withhow into the meeting they were. They came up with somereally great ideas on how to improve the patience we havewith each other. They decided that in order to unite us as afamily, we need to have new student and old student activities during the first week of the school year.-Alicia Strickling-Ashley McCammon leads adiscussion on two of theCommandments.Ten CommandmentsKids participating like this give us a hope that we canbring our school to greater heights.
