Description: |
This letter begins with Amat apologizing for driving Badollet away, and discussing the nature of long-distance friendships. He also mentions that Badollet’s parents are unhappy because they miss him, but they don’t want to move to an unfamiliar country. He goes on to write about money (specifically Badollet’s gains), and says Badollet should send some of that money to his parents—15 Louis (gold coins) per annum, specifically. Lastly, Amat writes that the political world has broken into factions that are tearing Geneva apart. |
