Concord Mall

This aerial view of the Concord Mall was probably taken the week of its opening. Mall officers planned eleven days worth of festivities to celebrate its completion and grand opening. A special reception for dignitaries and invited guests was held inside the mall on August 7, 1972, the day before its official opening. Customers were treated to shopping sprees, door prizes, and a variety of new stores. The Concord High School Marching Band even led a parade the day of the grand opening. |
