This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) Caller makes a test call on fire box, reports issue with streetlight. Dispatcher tells him to try police. 2) Caller reports building on fire at 1035 South Keystone Ave, Skinner Trucking Company. 3) Caller reports on fire at Skinner transport, 1035 South Keystone. No people around to talk to. Building is one story the size of the block. Fire got out of the incinerator and caught trash around it inside the building. 1 booster tank used to extinguish the fire, loss unestimated, cause undetermined. 4) Several callers report noise on radio channels, caused by work being done on radio transformer. 5) Caller asks who reported the fire at 1035 South Keystone since no one was around the building and a window was broken. 6) Sprinkler system at True Haul Trailer Company reported out of service. 7) Caller reports that Allen St. will be closed until noon from Albany to Cameron, dispatcher broadcasts information. 8) Ambulance and police requested at 4145 N.
