This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt:1. Ambulance to 2030 Barbary Way at Willow Apartments. 2. Fire at 631 North Rural, caller is at East Michigan and dispatcher thinks it is a fake report. Police dispatched to investigate. 3. 4628 Round the Lake Road, two engines dispatched to major fire. 4. Fire reported at 2217 Massachusetts in warehouse. This fire is likely related to Brookside Avenue fire close by. 5. Dispatcher makes multiple calls to in service truck companies to coordinate containing the Brookside Avenue fire. 6. Order to stop traffic on Massachusetts Avenue. 7. 1622 North Delaware, oven on fire in apartment number 2. Dictabelt |
