Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt:1. Grass fire reported near factory building in the proximity of Tremont Avenue. 2. Telephone man working on fire box asks to be put through to the police department. 3. At 2243 Admiral Drive heart attack reported. 4. Call from State Police for further information on Admiral Drive heart attack. 5. At 2023 South State Street, woman reports washing machine explosion. 6. House reported on fire at 1911 North Keystone. 7. Ambulance needed at 447 North Keystone, child unconscious from beating by father. 8. Caller passes along report from child of a caboose on fire near an Eli Lilly facility. 9. Ten kids reported playing with trash fire in alley at 1650 South Delaware Street.
