This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1.) 936 Virginia Avenue, problems with drunk. 2.) Dispatcher asks where the fire department can pick up their ridged stretcher, says for the hospital to deliver it to station 34. 3.) Telephone company employee tiring to repair phone line and reach police dispatcher. 4.) 3128 Winthrop, man reports house is full of smoke, possible fire. 5.) Heart attack at 38-39 Central. 6.) Car ten, Wes Johnson, informs dispatcher that his car radio was broken, could receive messages but not respond. 7.) Car fire at Arsenal and Washington Street. 8.) Fire House on fire at 10-51 Eugene.
