This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1.) Man asking for Hollsten. 2.) Call asking about service on Shadeland Avenue. 3.) Dispatcher arranging transferal of unit personnel and equipment between squads/units. 4.) Extended static and indecipherable speaking. 5.) Hose tender calling to ask if he could shut off their hose for drying. 6.) Dispatcher sends response to 19 West South Street at United Hospital service for heart attack. 7.) Car on fire on West Washington and interstate in Wayne Township. 8.)
