Dispatch call, May 17, 1969, time unknown

Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1.) Here Apartment resident, calling to inform that she is unharmed. Dispatcher says they are not recording that information. 2.) Property owner in Browns Hill area, A. W. Rahn, asking permission from Fire Chief for an open fire to destroy branch and leaf debris from high school students clearing up vacant lot. Further chatter about this topic. 3.) Caller asking if the Here Apartment fire began at the nearby Holiday Hotel. 4.) 20 West Washington, woman unconscious. 5.) Second call from A. W. Rahn. 6.) 111 West 40th, diabetic in need of assistance. 6.) 1010 West 33rd, womans mother cannot breathe. 7.) Service station attendant calls, concerned about three young boys buying gasoline. 8.) House fire at 3975 Byrd Drive. 9.) Call asking for telephone number for fire department dispatcher. 10.) 58-57 East 38th Street, gasoline running under mans house from Imperial Station.
