Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1.) Call asking about building a swimming pool, told to contact water company. 2.) Call requesting to contact Car 5. 3.) Call asking about location of Car 1. 4.) 22-14 North Alabama, woman reporting a house fire. 5.) Engine five involved in an accident 22 and Illinois. 6.) ADP alarm to District 4 and Engine eight at IDP Industrial Coating Inc. 22-45 Valley Avenue. 7.) Instruction to meet with police to combat fire in vacant barn building at Priscilla and 30th street. 8.) 634 North California, woman said disabled veteran is having asthmatic fits. 9.) 46-14 East 34th Street, unconscious man in bathroom. 10.) Call asking about Imperial Station gasoline leak.
