This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) Here Apartments fire. 3rd alarm at 3900 Shadeland. 2) Telephone company calling in to make sure they didnt cut the wrong wire and set off an alarm. 3) Hospital calling to find out if there will be more injuries and to inquire after the ambulance service. 4) Operator at General calling to find out if Shadeland has been declared a disaster. 5) Police car to Englewood and State Road 67. 6) 2020 North Illinois street, by the Red Cab company, personal injury (PI) accident. 7) Lawrence Township calling to offer their ambulances for the 3900 Shadeland fire. 8) 2818 McPherson St, grass fire. 9) Redirect to police. 10) 423 North California, unconscious man. 11) General Hospital calling to say they have firemen in for treatment.
