This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1.) Car has a dead battery, needs to arrange assistance. 2. In district four the caller, Joe Hamil, Bill McDowell, and Crez Beck will be out for an hour for x-rays. 3.) Caller asking where car 19 is, car 19 is instructed to meet with engine 34. 4.) Dispatcher calls the Sheriffs Office, speaks with Corporal Smith, asks for helicopter to get aerial photographs of fire, helicopter not available until Monday. 5.) Female caller reports house fire at 1332 North College started by children. 6.) 46 and Lafayette Road, man injured by anti-freeze while repairing car, needs first aid. 7.)
