Description: |
Schools developed in Franklin Township during the late nineteenth century, and Lanesville held its first commencement in 1888. A frame school building was located east of the town, and in 1922 Franklin Township built a new high school on the grounds of the current school complex off of Highway 62. This building was razed in the mid-1950s when a new high school was constructed along with a gymnasium. This building later became the elementary school. |
