This portrait of Frederick Porter Griffin (1915-2008) was taken in the summer of 1942 when Fred was in his late twenties. At the time he was employed at the naval shipyard in Evansville, Indiana. Fred was the youngest child of Maurice and Charlotte Rupp Griffin, and grandchild of Patrick and Helen Porter Griffin. The Griffin family owned and operated a dry goods store in Corydon, Indiana for many years. |
